I wouldn’t recommend using the right stick for looking around, use the mouse instead. For example I use the left bumper as a modifier mainly for flight controls: LB+A is landing gear up/down. the other one acts as a DS4 with a blue light. Go back to the 'Controllers' tab and then select the newly created profile. Inside the profile settings theres a 'Other' section where you can choose if that profile acts as a xbox controller or a DS4 controllers (some games can actually show DS4 buttons in game and support it) but if you controller is set up as a DS4 then some games might not detect it. When in the profile creation/edition screen, on the right side, go to the 'gyro' and 'touchpad' tabs and change their modes to 'Passthru'. I know the tutorial was a bit blunt, but follow the step by step and it will work. I recommend you do the same thing with the ps4 controller. On the profiles tab, create a new profile, then choose a preset with 'Gamepad -> DualShock 4'. Both will result in the controller appearing to be connected, but on the incorrect method the controller won’t remain connected for more than a few seconds and Windows will sometimes show a Add a device notification. Then you will open steam (yes, even if your game is ea play steam will save you, trust me.) on steam you will go to "LIBRARY"> "+Add Game"> then you will search for the program: "App Recovery" (which is the EA PLAY application> after that you will return to the initial part of steam, in the upper left corner you will click on "Steam">"Settings">"Control">"General Settings"> then you must enable the option "Enable Playstation controller setting" and "Enable xbox controller setting">Īfter all that, just connect your controller as you always do, and NA STEAM open the "App Recovery" that will open ea play, then just start the game normally and your controller will work. There is a correct and a incorrect method of pairing a controller to the PC via Bluetooth. If the player indicator is on, press and hold the PS button until it turns off. ![]() Make sure the player indicator on the controller is off. By default, this should go into: /opt/retropie/emulators. This version uses Share + Options (the DS4’s Select + Start) as the quit emulator button combo. you can call me your savior.įinally after trying everything i got it, i got the game through ea play i got because of xbox game pass, and my ds4 was not working at all, here is the solution:įirst you need to have ds4 windows installed and configured> How to pair a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller with a supported device To pair your wireless controller with a supported device using Bluetooth for the first time, turn on pairing mode. I couldn’t find one of these when I was looking, so I just thought I’d share the config file I put together for people looking to use PS4 controllers with input autodetect.
